Botev Plovdiv now has a new coach. This was hinted at by the club on the official Facebook page, where they also hinted that it will be officially announced on January 3, 2023.
The new coach of Botev Plovdiv will be the Portuguese Bruno Baltazar. In his coaching career, he was in charge of AEL Limassol, Apoel Nicosia, Estoril, and was also an assistant at Nottingham Forest when the team was still in the Championship. Balthazar was last in charge of the American Rochester.
Bruno Baltazar will arrive in Bulgaria on January 2, after welcoming the New Year in the USA. The Portuguese specialist will bring with him a staff of three more assistants.
The 45-year-old specialist plays with a 3-4-3 system. Goalkeeper coach Delyan Iliev and conditioning coach Todor Georgiev will remain in Balthazar’s team.
