Weghorst will pay his own way to play for Manchester United

Netherlands striker Vaut Weghorst, who became a sensation in the quarter-finals of the 2022 World Cup by scoring twice against Argentina, appears ready to do anything, if only to join Manchester United. The 197cm ram is owned by Burnley but is currently on loan at Turkish giants Besiktas and that has largely sabotaged his potential loan move to Old Trafford, where they see him as a short-term solution to their problems up front.

It is the Dutchman who is the first choice of his compatriot Erik ten Haag, who took charge of the “red devils” this season.

In order for Weghorst to end up in the Theater of Dreams, Besiktas must receive a solid compensation, which is logical – after all, the “Black Eagles” have paid for rent, which is until the end of the season. However, the football player himself is ready to take out of his own pocket the necessary amount, which is not yet mentioned.

Only to play for United, which is not surprising. However, under other circumstances, the experienced striker, who in his career has also played for Emmen, Heracles, AZ Alkmaar and Wolfsburg, would hardly be in a position to wear the legendary red shirt.

The media in England claim that there will be a development on the possible deal within the framework of today.

Weghorst has 18 appearances and 9 goals for Besiktas so far. Last season, his first in the Premier League, he scored twice in 20 appearances for Burnley.
