Two wealthy Russians died within days in a hotel in India

Two Russians have died in a hotel in the eastern Indian city of Rayagada within a few days under mysterious circumstances. The millionaire Pavel Antov was found lying in a pool of blood outside the hotel on December 24. This happened days after another Russian, Vladimir Bidenovwho accompanied Antov, died of a stroke.

Pavel Antov is 66 years old and was visiting the Indian state of Odisha to celebrate his birthday. He reportedly died after falling from the window of his room.

Antov is a businessman, part of the United Russia party, which supports the government in the Kremlin, and a member of the regional parliament in the Vladimir region. A parliamentary statement said “the businessman was full of energy and plans for the future”.

Indian news agency ANN reports that Antov fell into depression after the death of one of his companions from a heart attack. The agency refers to a police inspector.

Ukrainian media noted that on social networks Antov described the Russian invasion as an act of terrorism, and later deleted his post and confirmed his loyalty to President Vladimir Putin, reports BTA.

Cases of influential Russian citizens dying under unusual circumstances have been frequent in recent months. In September, Ravil Maganov, the chairman of the board of directors of the Lukoil oil company, died after falling from a window.
