The sports director of Pirin Blagoevgrad – Svetoslav Dyakov, who led the team in today’s loss with 1:4 against Septemvri Sofia, announced that he will no longer be part of the club from tomorrow.
“We are in a very difficult situation. A bad loss, a poor game, a lot of marriage and unprovoked mistakes. It’s my fault for the loss, I didn’t arrange the team well. I take the negatives for the loss. Every goal made an impact, especially the second. What could go wrong, did go wrong. Maybe a lot of pressure built up on the boys.”
“It’s minor, quite normal. The truth is that I made a decision a few days ago and I have already written it down. As of tomorrow, I’m not part of this team. I wish Pirin success. We have different views. I have made a decision for myself to leave, as I feel that everything is not as it should be. Yes, as a footballer everything was fine, but as a manager… I have morals, I have responsibility and I think management should make the decisions. There was some upheaval at the club. I made this decision a few days ago. I stayed for the match with Septemvri because it was very important for us. I was hoping we’d win it.”
“I am only responsible for myself. I don’t know anyone else’s opinion. As of tomorrow, I’m no longer part of the club.”
“I don’t want to comment and have things come out. This is the truth. Things have happened that I don’t agree with. I don’t feel betrayed by anyone. I have worked with honesty, correctness and responsibility. Pirin is my home club, I have no regrets. It was an invaluable experience for me. The owner must decide who will be my replacement,” said Dyakov.
