Of the dozens of fashion publications and the thousands of trend experts working in them, no one has yet been found to explain the stark contrast in clothing between European and American events.
Often, the same celebrities have demonstrated diametrically opposed clothing flair. When they’re on the red carpet in the U.S., they become loose, bare, and experimental on the scale of Vivienne Westwood. But when they’re in Europe, they magically regain their sense of style.
The latest example is yesterday’s opening of the Venice Film Festival. Actors, directors, producers, models lined up in front of the photographers of the 79th edition of the cinema event, who reminded that one goes to official events elegantly dressed.
The festival began with the premiere of White Noise by director Noah Baumbach (“Marriage Story”), and in addition to the stars of the film, on the red carpet we also saw former models of Victoria’s Secret, French film icon Catherine Deneuve, former first lady Hillary Clinton and Julianne Moore. which this year will be a jury at the distribution of the awards.
The looks of the celebrity guests were poetry made of cloth. Airy dresses in classic colors and cuts, understated accessories and a moderate amount of gems.
The walk on the red carpet gathered the best of the haute couture collections of the last season of the fashion houses Gucci, Saint Lauraint, Armani, Valentino, Alberta Ferretti, Louis Vuitton, Dior and Celine.
And while we wait for the cinema premieres of the program in Venice in our country, we can admire the beautiful dresses that the stars wore in front of the cameras. The best of fashion on the first night of the festival can be seen in the gallery.
