“Two villainous officers of the 80th Brigade were captured, who took part in the execution of our prisoners and disarmed. They are alive, although our hands were itching to punish them immediately, and they have been handed over to the relevant authorities,” the message noted.

The Russian Defense Ministry said Ukraine’s armed forces extrajudicially executed 10 captured and disarmed soldiers. The Investigative Committee opened a criminal case for the mass execution.
The UN human rights monitoring mission in Ukraine has announced it will conduct its own investigation. Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Vershinin said the matter had not gone beyond a loud statement – the mission had taken no action.
