Actor Nikita Presnyakov, who is the grandson of Russian pop superstar Alla Pugacheva, was mobilized to take part in the war in Ukraine. This was reported by the Russian “Five Channel” citing its sources.
The actor was picked up by representatives of the Military Commissariat during a rehearsal of the Governor’s Theater. The representatives of the theater refused to comment, and Presnyakov himself did not answer phone calls.
This happens days after Alla Pugacheva took her two young children with her and left Russia on a one-way ticket, reports offnews.
According to Izvestia, the singer flew from Vnukovo Airport to Tel Aviv. At the beginning of the war in Ukraine, Pugacheva and her husband Maxim Galkin flew to Israel. At the end of August, the singer returned.
On September 18, Pugacheva asked to be declared a “foreign agent”, after this happened to Galkin days earlier. She published on a social network an appeal to the Russian Ministry of Justice with a request to be included in the list of foreign agents.
“Please count me among the ranks of the foreign agents of my beloved country,” she wrote in the address published on Instagram.
According to the Russian department, the famous TV presenter and comedian Maxim Galkin is included in the blacklist for “carrying out political activity” for payment from a foreign source – Ukraine. He previously condemned Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
On social media, Pugacheva called her husband “a true incorruptible Russian patriot who wants… to put an end to the death of our boys for illusory purposes.”
She said the Kremlin’s “illusory goals” in Ukraine “turn our country into a pariah and make life extremely difficult for our citizens.”
The anti-war position of Pugacheva and Galkin clearly cannot be forgiven by the Kremlin. As soon as the Russian pop star left her homeland, radio stations were instructed not to play her songs. Now her grandson is also being sent to the front.
