The Crown (Netflix): an explosive trailer for season 5

Broadcast on Netflix from 2016, the series The Crown became in four seasons a success both public and critical, constituting one of the jewels in the crown of the streaming platform. Its fifth season has finally just given birth to a first trailer before its broadcast on November 9.

Set in the mid-1990s, this season 5 will notably tell of the tumultuous divorce between Charles and Diana. Check out the trailer below:

And who says new chapter, says new casting! Imelda Staunton (Harry Potter) plays Queen Elizabeth II, taking over from Claire Foy and Olivia Colman. Jonathan Pryce (Game Of Thrones) is the new Prince Philip in place of Tobias Menzies, while Dominic West stars as Prince Charles (now King Charles III) following Josh O’Connor.

Above all, Elizabeth Debicki (tenet, Guardians of the Galaxy 2) plays Princess Diana. This role was played by Emma Corin in the previous season.

This fifth and penultimate season of The Crown will have 10 episodes and will be broadcast from November 9, 2022 on Netflix.
