Arsenal could poach a Chelsea midfielder on the final day of the transfer window. It is about the Italian midfielder Jorginho, whose contract expires in 6 months. The Gunners have sent an inquiry to the London Blues for the midfielder, reports transfer guru Fabrizio Romano.
Jorginho is an option for Arsenal if the north London outfit fail to sign Moises Caicedo from Brighton. Mikel Arteta’s team had sent an offer to the “Seagulls” in the amount of 70 million pounds and bonuses, but it was rejected. Chelsea, for their part, are ready to negotiate for Jorginho as they do not intend to renew his contract, but will demand a good sum from their city rivals to part with the midfielder.
Jorginho has made 18 Premier League appearances and scored twice this campaign, but his starting place is far from certain in Graham Potter’s squad.
