Before completely lifting the veil, on August 30, on what will be its next Vision 7S concept car, Skoda reveals the sketches of its future seven-seater electric SUV.
At the heart of the new design is the T-shaped design of the headlights, which have been repositioned towards the edge of the vehicle and arranged in two rows, one above the other. These headlights fit into a new grille that is wider and flatter than that of current Skoda models. The completely redesigned bumper has seven air inlets arranged vertically, the center one featuring a bright orange insert. The lower part of the shield is equipped with an aluminum impact protection.
The body sides reveal a fairly high beltline with edge games that give this large SUV a sharp look. The adventurer side is however reinforced by black rocker panels, which frame wheels whose diameter will probably go up to 21 inches. There are very thin mirrors, probably equipped with cameras.
The roof line, slightly inclined towards the rear, ends with a spoiler cut into two parts which reinforces the dynamic aspect of the whole. The T-pattern is also found at the rear, with the headlights positioned at the ends of the trunk. The rear underbody incorporates the design of the front air intakes with a lower part in aluminium.
The interior reveals a new dashboard, with a cross-spoke steering wheel design and – no doubt haptic – keys on the thumbs. The on-board instrumentation is digital, and there is above all an impressive central touch screen arranged vertically, a bit like the Ford Mustang Mach-E, which is equipped with a 15.5-inch panel.
Below the main display is a center console with three large haptic-feedback rotary controls. Special storage is provided below, passengers can plug in their smartphones and “further personalize their interaction with the vehicle“, announces the manufacturer.
The Vision 7S world premiere is set for August 30, 2022. No powertrain information has leaked yet.
