The Qatari president of Paris Saint-Germain Al Khelaifi is involved in an affair covered by justice for extortion and abuse related to the questionable choice of Qatar to host the World Cup, writes the Telegraph. This is clear from an investigation published in the French newspaper “Liberation” about the personality of the Qatari, who, above all, is also the president of the European Club Association (ESA).
According to Liberation, Al Khelaifi was involved in a plot to imprison a French-Algerian businessman with compromising evidence about the country’s selection to host this year’s World Cup.
They indicated the name of the president of PSG. Therefore, on January 13, 2020, the businessman in question was arrested in Qatar, being held behind bars until November 1 of the same year.
In the sensitive information he had, the name of the PSG boss appears very often as one of the active participants in organizing the “processing” of FIFA members to vote for Qatar as the host of the World Cup.
The man, under intense psychological pressure, was released only after delivering the documents to Al-Khelaifi’s lawyers through a confidentiality agreement.
According to the French edition, the arrest would be organized solely and exclusively by order of the Emir of Qatar himself.
The victim of this event is a 41-year-old French-Algerian businessman who lived in Qatar with his wife and children. His name is being withheld, his legal team is representing him in providing information to the Liberation investigation.
