CSKA coach Sasha Ilic gave his opinion after the 1:2 loss to Ludogorets in Razgrad. The Serbian specialist stated that this was the team’s best match under his leadership.
“This is CSKA’s best match since I have been a coach. Regardless of the result, we played better than Ludogorets. If we have to summarize, Ludogorets from 2-3 shots scored two goals. We created 6-7 clear chances, but we only scored one. Big teams manage to handle these situations under pressure. We conceded a goal,” Ilic began.
“All the time we played at the level we should always play at. I want to congratulate all my players. If we keep playing like this, the victories will come back. When we play as a team, we can oppose Ludogorets and Levski. When we don’t we do, it doesn’t work,” he added.
“We try different things. I’m not afraid to change things on the fly. Today we were with three at the back and we managed. We have to learn from the losses. I know it will be difficult for the players, but we have to learn our lessons.”
“The very fact that the players play in CSKA should not have any other motivation. We still have difficult matches, but only with such a game can we expect good results,” concluded Ilić.
