Red Bull Racing and Scuderia Alfa Tauri bring back the Honda logo on their cars. The two teams cemented their relationship with the Japanese manufacturer and will use its logo until the end of the year.

Honda announced that will continue its technical support for Red Bull Powertrains until the end of 2025. Also the company will be main sponsor of the upcoming Japanese Grand Prix.

Red Bull and Alfa Tauri will continue to use powertrains that are produced in collaboration with Red Bull Powertrains and Honda Racing Corporation (HRC). The strengthening of the partnership will allow the placement of the Honda logo on the RB18 and AT03 cars. This will happen from the race at the Suzuka circuit.

At the same time, Sergio Perez will take on the role of ambassador for the Honda Racing School (HRS) driving academy. The Mexican will begin his role with a lecture session for HRS students in November 2022.

The HRC Thanksgiving Day will take place on November 27, 2022. It will be attended by Max Verstappen, Sergio Perez, Pierre Gasy and Yuki Tsunoda.

“Oracle Red Bull Racing and HRC have achieved great success in Formula 1 together. Through these new agreements, we are proud to continue to develop with HRC’s technical support until the introduction of the next generation of engines in 2026. We are confident that the relationship with the Japanese will set us up for even greater success over the next three seasons. We also thank them for their continued support,” shared Red Bull advisor Dr. Helmut Marko.

“Honda has invested significantly in hybrid technology during our partnership. This ensured the supply of competitive power packs for both teams, for which we are very grateful. Our overall goal is to continue to offer dominant engines and achieve as much success as possible over the next three years. We look forward to bringing the Honda logo back on our cars from Suzuka onwards,” said Red Bull Racing boss Christian Horner.

“The HRC logo on the nose and the Honda logo on the side of both teams’ cars represent the strong ties between our company and the Red Bull Group. Through the technical support provided by HRC, Honda will fully support the challenges these machines take on to become the “fastest in the world.” We are very pleased that these machines will be featured at the Japanese Grand Prix. We must not forget that Honda will be the title sponsor of the event. Please continue to support the two teams of the Avestan company that compete with powertrains equipped with Honda technology,” said HRC President Koji Watanabe.
