Real Madrid is preparing a heavy double blow on Manchester City – Football world – Transfers

European champions Real Madrid are keen to sign two of Manchester City’s stars. According to “AS”, it is about striker Erling Haaland and full-back Joao Cancelo.

Last summer’s transfer window saw Real strengthen with the likes of Antonio Rüdiger and Aurelien Chuameni, but the next two summers could be even bigger as Los Blancos look to weaken one of their main European rivals, Man City.

According to AS, Real will renew their interest in Haaland, 22, who has 14 goals in 11 Premier League games this season. The Norwegian national has a buyout clause worth 180 million euros, which will become active in the summer of 2024, and that’s when the capital city is expected to start the transfer operation. The striker held talks with Real before moving to City, but opted to sign for the Citizens as he did not want to compete with Karim Benzema.

The publication also claims that Real are also looking to sign full-back Joao Cancelo. The 29-year-old Portuguese has a contract with the Etihad team until the summer of 2027. However, it is thought he could be snapped up for between €40m and €50m next summer.
