The BlackWidow is Razer’s flagship keyboard that offers the brand’s most advanced features. After two years without being talked about, this model returns in a V4 Pro version which modifies many design elements and adds multiple possibilities. A major overhaul, a priori for the best.
In full format, it now has dedicated multimedia keys and a metal volume wheel, more classic, but probably more effective than the old plastic one which suffered from a few flaws. Small details that give it a truly premium finish, which is complemented by an aluminum reinforcement plate under the keys.
In the left corner, there is now a row of macro keys and a new button/wheel to which you can assign a host of shortcuts: navigation in the tabs or zoom for example, but also the management of tools in certain specialized software, such as brush size in the Adobe suite. It is rather well thought out and can therefore be interesting for players, but also for creators; to see in practice. All of this is obviously customizable in the Razer Synapse software, as is the per-key backlighting.
Next to it, there are advanced keyboard features gamingwith a polling rate at 8000 Hz, tactile or linear mechanical switches guaranteed for 100 million clicks, and even a USB port pastrough. Small flat on the keys which are in ABS and not in PBT, but they remain double injection and the pre-lubricated stabilizers should offer a pleasant keystroke and, we hope, without too much resonance.
The BlackWidow V4 Pro is already available, but you have to pay a nice sum to get your hands on it: its recommended retail price is displayed at 270 € all the same.
