Plug-in hybrid cars: the top 10 sales (January 2023)
After a sharp drop in registrations in 2022 (-7.83%), the automobile market picked up in January 2023 with strong growth of 8.8%, thanks in particular to the continued electrification of the fleet. .
111,939 new passenger cars were registered in France in January 2023, compared to 102,899 in January 2022 according to data published on Wednesday February 1 by the Automotive Platform and AAA Data.
This increase is confirmed in a market with increasing electrification. If diesel continues its descent into limbo with 11.2%, the market remains mainly focused on pure thermal (38.7%) and hybrid which represents 32.5% combined with an interesting distribution of 15.3% for the classic hybrid, 7.9% for the mild hybrid and 9.2% for the plug-in hybrid. For its part, the all-electric confirms its penetration with 13.1% market share, but there is a significant decline compared to October and December 2022, since its share had risen to 15% and 16% respectively.
