Manuel Pellegrini is optimistic ahead of Betis’ Europa League group stage match against Ludogorets. The head coach of the “green and white” believes that his graduates will continue their strong performance.
“The most important thing for a coach is to be able to rotate. With so many games, the most important thing is to have a wide squad. We have some problems with Nabil, Victor Ruiz and Sabali who have muscle injuries. We will rely on those who have been playing since the start of the campaign. Sabali will not feature in either of our next two games,” Pellegrini told the media.
The experienced specialist also commented on the performance of the Bulgarian champion Ludogorets.
“They win the title in the domestic championship and always come out victorious. They participated in the Champions League and beat a strong team like Roma. We have to be very concentrated in the defensive phase and try to surprise them going forward. This is the biggest team in Bulgaria . They know how to play football. There are many foreigners in the team who add exceptional quality,” added the Betis coach.
Pellegrini wants the obligatory three points in the match against the team from Razgrad.
“We won the last game, but maybe we won’t win the next one. There are no indications that we will win any tournament. We have to be Betis, as it has always been and now we want another three points in the Europa League. We have to continue to be moderate, nobody in the squad does not believe that we are the best in the world. The first and most important thing is to qualify,” concluded Manuel Pellegrini.
Betis welcomes Ludogorets on Thursday at 10 p.m.
