Ozzy Osbourne announced that he will move back from Los Angeles to England, DPA reported, quoted by BTA.
The Birmingham-born Black Sabbath frontman told the Observer he was fed up with mass shootings in his second homeland. Also, I don’t want to die in the United States and be buried in Forest Lawn, added the 73-year-old rock legend, referring to the private cemetery in California where the mortal remains of many celebrities are laid to rest.
Ozzy Osbourne will move to the UK with his wife Sharon. The couple, who married in 1982, will live in their 120-year-old estate, Welders House, in Buckinghamshire, north-west of London.
“Everything (in the US) is (so) ridiculous. I’m sick of people getting killed every day. God knows how many people have been shot in school shootings. And this mass shooting at a concert in Las Vegas,” Ozzy Osbourne told ” Observer”.
“And I don’t want to die in America. I don’t want to be buried in the shib… (cemetery) Forest Lawn. I’m an Englishman. I want to go back (to England). But if my wife had said I must go and live in Timbuktu, I was going to go. But no, it’s just time to go home,” the rock legend added.
Sharon Osbourne, for her part, insisted that the decision had nothing to do with the fact that her husband was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease.
“I know people are going to think (exactly) that. It’s not. It’s just time (to go home to England). America has changed so drastically. It’s not the United States of America at all,” Ozzy Osbourne’s wife told Sunday’s edition of the Guardian and explained: “There is nothing united (i.e. unified) in (this country). It is a very strange place to live in now.”
Ozzy Osbourne will release in a few days – on September 9, his 13th solo album “Patient Number 9”.
