Manufacturers renew their catalogs of smartphones and Oppo is not left out. After Vivo’s X90s, the Honor 80s, it’s the Reno range’s turn to get a makeover. The Chinese manufacturer has just presented three devices with interesting technical data sheets: the Reno 9, 9 Pro and 9 Pro+.

The three smartphones are equipped with the same 6.7-inch Full HD + OLED panel refreshed up to 120 Hz. We notice that the latter is curved and gives way to thin borders, which gives it a rather elegant look. In terms of design, the Reno 9 resume the formula of the previous year, with a photo island highlighting the two main sensors at the back.

In photo, this Reno 9 is equipped with a dual sensor consisting of a 64 Mpx module whose lens opens at f / 1.8 and a 2 Mpx depth sensor (f / 2.4). At the front, all smartphones have a 32 Mpx front sensor (the IMX709) housed in a punch at the front. Autonomy is ensured by a 4500 mAh battery compatible with recharging at 67 watts. The three models run on Android 13 and the ColorOS 13 overlay.

Promising Pros

The Pro version works for its part thanks to a MediaTek Dimensity 8100 Max coupled with 16 GB of RAM and 256/512 GB of storage. We can therefore expect a particularly fluid multitasking experience. The smartphone has the same 4500 mAh battery compatible with fast charging at 67 W as the basic model.

The Pro+ model is entitled to a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 coupled with 12 GB of RAM and 256/512 GB of storage. However, it has a 4700 mAh battery with fast charging at 80 W.

The Oppo Reno 9 Pro and Pro+ show more ambition in photos. Both models have a 50 Mpx Sony IMX890 main sensor, which replaces the Sony IMX766 which equipped the Find X5 and Find X5 Pro in particular. It comes with an 8MP ultra-wide-angle sensor, but the Reno 9 Pro+ also has a third 2MP sensor. We can therefore expect rather versatile mobiles.
