The Ministry of Youth and Sports has officially published the opinion on what stage the talks with CSKA have reached regarding the modernization and potential new construction of the “Bulgarian Army” stadium. As is known, the “Reds” have intentions to build a new stadium, but the procedure at the moment continues to be extremely cumbersome.
Here is what the MMS wrote without editorial intervention:
In connection with the inauguration of the new management of “Serdika sport properties” EAD on 18.10.2022 and with the aim of getting acquainted with the implementation of decision No. 630 of 28.10.2019 of the Council of Ministers, Minister Vesela Lecheva extended an invitation to all interested parties parties on the case study with the “Bulgarian Army” stadium for a working meeting to specify the specific steps and give an account of what stage the process is at.
The meeting was held at a time convenient for all parties in the building of the Ministry of Youth and Sports on 9.11.2022 and was attended by: from the MMC working group, appointed by order of the Minister of Youth and Sports Vesela Lecheva, the executive director of “Serdika sports properties” EAD Alexandra Levyanska and representatives of the management team of PFC CSKA Sofia.
At the meeting, all parties stated that no real actions have been taken to implement the decision of the Council of Ministers. It was agreed as soon as possible, as a first step, to sign a preliminary contract for the establishment of the joint company in implementation of the decision of the SC, which would provide the road map for the implementation of the project for a new CSKA stadium with clearly defined deadlines and commitments for each one of the parties.
