The star-studded manufacturer’s future EQE electric SUV will be officially presented in October 2022. If its technical specificities remain shrouded in mystery, it’s a safe bet that we will find at least two variants from the EQE 43 and EQE 53 sedans. the first would present a power of 350 kW (469 hp), while the second would offer 506 kW (687 hp) via two electric motors powered by a 90.6 kWh battery. While waiting to learn more, Mercedes has released the first photos of the interior of the EQE SUV.
Positioning itself below the EQS SUV in Mercedes’ EQ range of electric vehicles, the EQE SUV is described by the manufacturer as a “versatile variantof the EQE sedan, thanks to its larger interior space and increased ride height.
In fact, Mercedes claims the five-seat EQE SUV will be one of the most spacious models in its class in terms of “space for the head, legs and elbowsThis is due to the brand’s dedicated EVA2 electric vehicle platform, which allowed designers to maximize interior space.
From a design point of view, the interior actually brings little surprise since it looks very similar to that of the EQE sedan, itself strongly inspired by the EQS sedan.
There is therefore an optional dashboard called Hyperscreen MBUX, which incorporates three screens grouped under a single large layer of glass: the 12.3-inch instrument cluster, the 17.7-inch central screen and a 12.3-inch passenger entertainment area.
The color theme shown in these photos is one of five combinations available on the EQE SUV, which mixes Balao Brown with Neva Gray and Biscay Blue. Mercedes mentions that avant-garde and traditional materials are used in the cabin, such as wood and aluminum, which can be found on the air vents or the electric seat controls on the storm doors. The backlight finishes giving a high-tech touch to the whole.
The Mercedes EQE SUV will have its world premiere on October 16, 2022.
