Ludogorets realized a strong incoming transfer. The 11-time champions have brought in midfielder Gustavo Nonato Santana, who was owned by Internacional but played on loan at title-contending Rio de Janeiro giants Fluminense.
The managements of Ludogorets and the club from Porto Alegre finalized the deal on Friday. Nonato arrives in Bulgaria over the weekend, and will be officially presented to the media at the beginning of next week.
Gustavo Nonato Santana was born on March 3, 1998 in Sao Paulo. He began his career in Sao Caetano, later moving to Internacional. In the period 2018-2020, the midfielder played 91 games for the Porto Alegre club, scoring 7 goals. From 2021, he plays on loan at Fluminense. This season, Nonato performed excellently with the Maracana team, where he was a regular starter until the end. The midfielder played 37 matches, scored 4 goals and recorded 5 assists, making him one of the main players of Fluminense, who are currently second in the standings and fighting for the title with Palmeiras.
Gustavo Nonato Santana is the third new player in Ludogorets this season. A month ago, the champions attracted midfielder Jakub Piotrowski, and a few days ago, the club signed the Norwegian right-back Aslak von Vitri.
