Liverpool send offer for Brazilian international from Aston Villa – Football world – Transfers

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has already revealed that his side are still looking for a suitable midfielder to bolster the team’s midfield amid the midfield injury crisis.

“The closer it gets to the end of the transfer window, the less likely we are to get a midfielder. But we have not come out of this idea and continue to search. It’s difficult because there are certainly players who are right, but they have different ‘problems’ – with the contracts or the clubs don’t want to sell,” said Klopp.

“We cannot bring anyone by force. Thursday 11pm is the deadline. When it’s all over we’ll see if we got anyone. Then I’ll be really happy, because we’ll all stop thinking about it,” added the German.

A number of names have been linked with a move to Anfield, with Borussia Dortmund’s Jude Bellingham, AC Milan’s Ismael Benasser, Valencia’s Carlos Soler, Paris Saint-Germain’s Leandro Paredes and even Barcelona’s Frenkie De Jong.

Now, however, Merseysiders have set their sights on Aston Villa’s player Douglas Lewis, who could leave the “villains” for Liverpool in the final hours of the window, claims journalist Matheus Leal.

According to his information, the “Reds” have made an offer of 20 million pounds for the midfielder, who is willing to change his club affiliation.
