47-year-old Leonardo DiCaprio and Camila Morone have ended their relationship, People reported, citing its sources.
The Oscar winner and the 25-year-old actress and model, who have kept their relationship mostly private, were spotted together in January 2018 during an outing in Aspen, Colorado. As a couple, they sat front row in the audience at the Oscars in February 2020.
Representatives for the stars declined to comment.
In July 2019, an insider told People that Leo and Morone seemed “pretty serious” about their feelings. “This is definitely not a casual relationship. Camila spends a lot of time at his house. Camila has long been known as Leo’s girlfriend. And Leo introduced her to both of his parents a long time ago.”
Then, in June 2020, an insider commented that DiCaprio “loves spending time with Morone” and that they are together 24 hours a day, especially during the pandemic. “They are very close,” the source added at the time.
Leo and Camila were spotted spending the 4th of July weekend together this summer on a beach in Malibu. However, in August, Morone was spotted in St. Tropez with her mother. Last week he was out to dinner with friends in Los Angeles alone.
Fans commented that the separation occurred months after the model turned 25 on June 16.
The Hollywood ace has not publicly dated a woman over that age.
When he dated Gisele Bündchen and Bar Refaeli, as well as actress Blake Lively, they were still under that age while they were together. In 2016, Leo was dating Kelly Rohrbach but they broke up when she turned 25 and he started dating Danish model Nina Agdal, their relationship also ended when she turned 25.
In a December 2019 interview with the Los Angeles Times, Morone spoke about their age gap: “There are so many relationships in Hollywood, and in the world in general, between people with a big age gap. I think everyone should be able to meets whomever he wants”.
She also said that it’s “frustrating” to be known mostly as DiCaprio’s boyfriend, and that she kind of understands that, but she’s confident that she’ll achieve enough fame on her own.
Camilla will star in Prime Video’s upcoming limited series Daisy Jones & The Six, an adaptation of Taylor Jenkins Reed’s 2019 bestseller.
And Leo DiCaprio is reuniting with director Martin Scorsese for next year’s Killers of the Flower Moon, based on David Grann’s 2017 book.
Leo has a fortune that amounts to 230 million pounds.
