The coach of the Bulgarian national team, Mladen Kerstaich, announced the names of the players called up for the upcoming matches of the League of Nations tournament. On September 23, at 9:45 p.m. in Razgrad, the “lions” will host Gibraltar, and on September 26, at 9:45 p.m., North Macedonia will visit Skopje.
The team included eight new players, who for the first time received a call-up for the national team. These are Hristiyan Petrov, Mateo Stamatov, Iliya Gruev, Ivan Yordanov, Nikola Iliev, Marin Petkov, Ioan Stoyanov, Georgi Rusev.
It is also noteworthy that the goalkeeper of CSKA 1948 Daniel Naumov returns to our team, while the leading scorer of the efbet Liga Ivaylo Chochev is not among Krastaich’s selections.
Not a single player of Lokomotiv Plovdiv has been called up. Dimitar Iliev, Birsent Karagaren and Petar Vitanov were not called.
