The French fashion house, owned by luxury goods group Kering, apologized last week on its Instagram account and removed several photos from its spring-summer 2023 campaign, including a photograph of a child holding a bag in the form of a white teddy bear girded with black belts.

Netizens also noticed that in another photo, a bag from the joint Balenciaga-Adidas collection was placed on top of documents printed with excerpts from a US Supreme Court ruling on child pornography.

“Over the past few days I have kept quiet not because I wasn’t disgusted and outraged by Balenciaga’s latest campaigns, but because I wanted to get the opportunity to speak with their team to find out for myself how this could have happened,” Kim Kardashian wrote. on Twitter.

The reality star, who counts Balenciaga as one of her brand partners, said that as a mother of four she was “shocked by these disturbing images”. Kim Kardashian adds that she has taken into account “the withdrawal of the photos and the apologies of Balenciaga”.

“As for my future with Balenciaga, I intend to review my relationship with the brand based on their willingness to take responsibility for something that should never have happened and the actions I expect from them to protect children.” , the reality star added, addressing her 74 million subscribers.
