Kenneth Branagh will play Hercule Poirot for the third time

Kenneth Branagh has enjoyed playing Hercule Poirot and is going to rock.

Coincidentally or not, this Halloween kicks off production on 20th Century Studios’ suspenseful supernatural thriller A Haunting in Venice, inspired by Agatha Christie’s novel All Saints.

Oscar-winner Kenneth Branagh, in addition to reprising the role of Agatha Christie’s famous Belgian detective, will once again direct the film, from a script by Oscar-nominee Michael Green (“Logan: The Wolverine”), and will shoot took place at Pinewood Studios in London as well as locations in Venice.

As the unforgettable characters in the story, we will see a brilliant ensemble cast, including Kyle Allen (“Rosaline”), Camille Cotin (“Call My Agent”), Jamie Dornan (“Belfast”), Tina Fey (“30 Rockefeller Plaza”), Jude Hill (“Belfast”), Ali Kahn (“6 Underground”), Emma Leckard (“Mayor of Easttown”), Kelly Reilly (“Yellowstone”), Riccardo Scamarcio (“Caravaggio’s Shadow”) and Michelle Yeoh (“Everything Everywhere All at Once”).

Kenneth Branagh directed and wrote Belfast and won an Oscar this year for original screenplay.

“It’s a fantastic development of the Hercule Poirot character as well as the Agatha Christie franchise,” Branagh said of the new film.

The action of the creepy mystery “A Haunting in Venice” takes place after the Second World War in Venice, on the night of All Saints. Retired and living in exile in the most glamorous city in the world at the time, famed detective Hercule Poirot reluctantly finds himself among the attendees of a séance in a crumbling, haunted palace. When one of the guests is murdered, Poirot finds himself at the center of a sinister world of shadows and secrets.

Branagh’s film “Death on the Nile” topped the box office charts some time ago.

He previously directed “Murder on the Orient Express.” Everyone suspects everyone on the snowy train where one of the passengers is mysteriously killed. But from the very beginning it was no secret that a real constellation was gathered in the luxury express traveling through the Balkans.

Penelope Cruz, William Dafoe, Judi Dench, Johnny Depp, Michelle Pfeiffer, Daisy Ridley are just some of the stars.
