Anthony Joshua accepted Tyson Fury’s challenge for a fight between the two in December. Last night, the WBC Heavyweight Champion posted a message to AJ inviting him to meet him in the ring in December. Joshua didn’t hesitate to answer.
“Yeah, chill. I’m not into online discussions. I’ll be ready in December,” Joshua wrote on Twitter.
He lost to Usyk on August 20 in Jeddah. The match was for four championship belts, which Joshua held until last September when he lost to Usyk in London, plus Fury’s vacant Ring Magazine title.
The victory of the Ukrainian opened a discussion that he should fight Fury for the absolute world title. However, it seems that this fight will not take place before 2023.
At the beginning of 2021, a match between Fury and Joshua was persistently talked about in the media space, but then the fight fell through, as the American Deontay Wilder won an arbitration and obliged the Gypsy Baron to fight him.
After the loss to Usyk, Joshua admitted to mental problems and that he deserved to be defeated. With a possible match against Fury, he will get an excellent chance to immediately return to the world elite and fight for the championship belt.
