Johnny Depp: You can hire me for birthdays, weddings, bar mitzvahs and anything you need

Johnny Depp dressed as the Moon Man took the stage and opened the ceremony for the most prestigious video awards on Sunday night.

Johnny Depp’s appearance at the MTV VMAs as a screening marks another step in his return to the public eye after winning the case against his ex-wife Amber Heard.

The night’s winners included Harry Styles, Taylor Swift and Nicki Minaj.

“I need work”, Depp joked. He later announced that he was available for “birthdays, bar mitzvahs, bat mitzvahs, weddings, wakes, anything you need – everything!”. And added, “Oh, I’m a dentist too.”

The statuette presented to the winners of the annual MTV Music Awards depicts the Moon Man.

Singer Taylor Swift won the top honor at the annual MTV Video Music Awards – Video of the Year, for the 10-minute version of her 2012 song “All Too Well,” global news agencies reported.

The artist also surprisingly announced a new album, which will be released on the music market on October 21.

“All Too Well” is one of her past hits that Taylor Swift re-recorded after a dispute with her record company.

The track “All Too Well: The Short Film” (10 minute version) brought Swift the awards for best video (long form) and direction.

Nicki Minaj was honored with the Michael Jackson Vanguard Award and won Best Hip-Hop Video for “Do We Have a Problem?” in collaboration with Lil Baby.

Red Hot Chili Peppers were honored with the Global Icon Award. Anthony Kiedis and company were also honored in the Best Rock Video category for the track “Black Summer.”

Bad Bunny, Harry Styles, Billie Eilish, BTS, Lil Nas X, Jack Harlow, “Moneskin” were among the other winners.

Styles won album of the year for “Harry’s House” and best pop single for “As It Was,” but did not appear at the ceremony in person. He apologized for his absence as he is on tour in the US.

Bad Bunny was named Artist of the Year.

Hosts at the MTV Video Music Awards at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey were Nicki Minaj, LL Cool J and Jack Harlow.
