In Venice: everyone is talking about…Timothy Chalamet’s bare back
Like the Cannes festival and the Oscars ceremony, the parade of film stars on the red carpet ranks among the unforgettable moments of the Venice festival, reported AFP.
Catherine Deneuve, Timothée Chalamet, Cate Blanchett, Penelope Cruz were among the actors who attended the opening of the festival on Wednesday.
The indefatigable Catherine Deneuve arrived in Venice between filming two productions to receive an honorary Golden Lion at the opening ceremony. The 78-year-old star posed for photographers in a bright red dress.
French-American actor Timothée Chalamet also chose red for the opening. His bold backless jumpsuit broke the stereotypes of menswear and womenswear.
The president of the jury in Venice, the American actress Julianne Moore, did not hesitate to choose a transparent outfit for her official appearance, while the French actress Isabelle Huppert decided to show only her arms.
Far from all the male actors were bold like Chalamet – the American actor Adam Driver opted for a classic tuxedo for the premiere of the film “White noise”, which opened the festival.
Penelope Cruz chose a long black dress for her appearance on Sunday night.
Transgender actress Trace Lisette opted for an extravagant dress in delicate orange.
