How Shakira pissed off Casio and Renault with insane ‘revenge song’ against Pique

Just a day after the release of the song “Music Sessions #53” of Colombian star Shakira with DJ Bizarrap, it was the turn of the brands mentioned in the track to respond. And by all accounts – slightly affected.

Casio and Renault reacted on social media to the following couplet:

“I wish you the best of luck with my so-called ‘substitute’. I don’t even know what happened. You’re acting so strange, I can’t even recognize you. I’m worth two 22-year-olds. You’ve traded a Ferrari for a Twingo, a Rolex for a Casio. You work out in the gym, but you’ve got to work on your brain too,” Shakira orders in her Gerard Pique revenge song.

The response of the affected brands was not long in coming.

Casio posted an image of their watch with drops on it that said “water resistant” and the text read: “We like to get splashed!” (a pun on the former footballer’s name: “sal-PIQUE” from Spanish).

Renault posted a red Twingo model number 22 and urged: “Boys and girls, turn up the volume!”

In the summer of last year, the until recently defender of Barcelona and the singer separated after 11 years of marriage.

The ex-footballer quickly replaced the Latin star with Public Relations student Clara Chia Marti, who works at his company. It is to this relationship that the lyrics of the song, which accumulates millions of views every hour after its release, are subordinated.

“Leave my mother-in-law as a neighbor, media at the door and tax obligations,” Shakira also sings in the track.

The two stars are parents of two boys – 7-year-old Sasha and 9-year-old Milan – who are currently staying with their mother.
