The executioner of Levski in the European tournaments, Hamrun Spartans, ended in a 3:3 draw in the second leg against Partizan from the playoff for entering the groups of the Conference League.
With a total score of 7:4, the Belgraders achieved their goal and will play in the group phase of the third strongest European club tournament.
In the 27th minute, Rocco Parsha put Hamrun ahead on the scoresheet, but the visitors quickly dashed their hopes of a big turnaround. Already in the 34th minute, Ricardo Gomes restored the tie. Here somewhere the intrigue completely evaporated, not that there was much left after the first match in Belgrade.
In the second half, Hamrun and Partizan exchanged two more goals each. The visitors won 3:1 after goals from Slobodan Urosevic in the 72nd minute and Ricardo Gomes again in the 79th minute.
By the end of the game, Hamrun had two penalties. The first penalty kick was scored by Vinicius in the 82nd minute, and in the last 90 minutes of regular time, Matteo Fedele scored the final result.
Although Hamrun failed to overcome Partizan as well, this year’s European campaign will remain in the history of the team, which for the first time played a playoff to enter groups.
