Guerrillas blew up a railway line in the Bryansk region of Russia

Explosives were detonated along the route of a railway in the border regions of the Bryansk Region in Russia, which damaged the rails, the Strategic Communications Directorate of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (StratCom) reported. The governor of the Bryansk region, Alexander Bogomaz, officially confirmed the explosion. According to StratCom, it is about the actions of partisans in the rear of the Russians, on their territory.

“Guerrillas are at work: an explosive device exploded in the Bryansk region. The railway is damaged. The “gesture of goodwill” on the part of the railway took place between the settlements of Novozybyk and Zlinka. The region is at the crossroads of Ukraine and Belarus and has important strategic importance. Now the echelons will not be able to reach Belarus on one of the railway branches in the near future,” StratCom commented.

“This evening on the route between the settlements of Novozibkov and Zlinka, an unidentified explosive device was set off. The railway lines are damaged. There were no injuries. The emergency and operational services are working on the spot,” Governor Bogomaz announced in telegraphic style on his telegram channel at 10:14 p.m. on Monday.

Moscow Railways (MZD) also confirmed the accident, adding that it was discovered at 8:30 p.m. during a round-trip of the single-line section by the locomotive brigade of a locomotive that was traveling on the route without wagons. The locomotive was stopped at a safe distance.
