Joe Joyce has captured the interim WBO heavyweight title after a knockout victory over Joseph Parker in a highly-anticipated boxing match between the two.
The bout in Manchester offered a great spectacle and ended in the 11th round when Joyce landed another straight left and sent Parker to the ground, the New Zealander standing up shortly after the count and unable to continue.
Most of the fight was dominated by Joyce, who dominated until the ninth round, and Parker had a hard time staying in the match.
In the ninth and tenth rounds, things started to turn and the Brit was struggling more and more, but it was then that he was able to finish the match with the decisive blow.

Joyce’s old friend Tyson Fury was among the lucky visitors in the hall, who did not fail to support him.
Joe Joyce has become the main contender for a meeting with Oleksandr Usyk, in which the Ukrainian’s titles will be at stake.
“Are you ready, Usyk!”, 37-year-old Joyce threatened from the ring immediately after last night’s success.
The Brit now has 15 wins from 15 professional fights, 14 of them by knockout.
