Golden Globes 2023: Who are the big winners (full list)

Steven Spielberg’s The Fablemans, Martin McDonough’s The Banshees of Inishreen, and the series Home of the Dragon and Abbott Elementary were the big winners at this year’s Golden Globe Awards.

Quinta Brunson, Tyler James Williams, Angela Bassett, Ke Hugh Kwan, Colin Farrell, Jennifer Coolidge, Steven Spielberg, Michelle Yeoh, Julia Garner, Zendaya, Guillermo del Toro, Cate Blanchett and Austin Butler are among the individual winners walking away from the ceremony with prizes.

The 80th edition of the ceremony, which took place at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, was broadcast live on NBC and the Peacock streaming platform after their broadcast was boycotted last year. The reason for this was the fact that there were no black film critics in the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, which gives out the awards.

The boycott of the Globes has forced the Association to make some reforms and review its handling of scandals it has been involved in, including allegations of accepting gifts from its members during the awards season.

Another change is that this year it has been decided to hand out more honors than usual, with the inclusion of supporting actor and actress awards in the series and TV movie categories.

Actor and comedian Eddie Murphy was honored for lifetime contribution to the entertainment industry.
