Good news for detective Benoît Blanc aficionados. The feature film Glass Onionreleased on December 23 on the Netflix streaming platform, will benefit from a version commented by its director Rian Johnson.

The sequel toAt Knives Out (2019) is entitled to special treatment. While this kind of content is usually reserved for video editions (DVD/Blu-ray), Glass Onion will be accompanied by a version with comments by its director Rian Johnson (Looper, Star Wars VIII), available in the movie’s audio options. Something to delight film buffs and fans of anecdotes, the commented versions being quite often exciting to discover behind the scenes.

It was via Twitter that the official account of the film made this announcement, unveiling a new poster at the same time:

This version commented by Rian Johnson will be accessible from this Thursday, February 23 at 10 a.m. (Pacific Time) in the United States. It is logical to hope that this version will also be available for French subscribers from 7 p.m. on the same day. We have contacted Netflix which has not yet been able to confirm the information. We will of course keep you informed as soon as possible.

Whether Glass Onion enjoys such privileged treatment, it’s also not the first Netflix content with this kind of bonus. Series House of Cards had notably been broadcast with comments from David Fincher and Joel Schumacher.

As a reminder, Glass Onion is the sequel to the movie At Knives Outpublic and critical success of 2019, and which had revitalized the whodunit, this kind of police investigation with twists and turns.
