For the third time – qualified a team for the World Cup and was fired before participation – World Cup 2022

Bosnian coach Vahid Halilhodzic is no longer the coach of the Moroccan national team. The African nation’s federation announced that his contract had been terminated due to disagreements over the best way to prepare the national team for the championships in Qatar.

Qualifying 4 different teams for the World Cup and participating in only 1… history over and over again!

“Given the disagreements between the Moroccan Football Association and coach Vahid Halilhodzic on how best to prepare the national football team for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, the two sides have decided to part ways,” the Moroccan association announced.

The president of the local association announced that Hakim Ziyech will return to the national team after Halilhodzic suspended him for ill-discipline.

The new coach of the Moroccan national team will be Walid Regraghi, who signed a contract until 2025.

Halilhodzic’s dismissal is his third before a World Cup appearance. Previously, the same thing happened to him with Ivory Coast in 2010 and with Japan in 2018.
