Cristiano Ronaldo has been offered to play until he is 40 after Saudi Arabia’s Al Nasser is set to offer him a three-year deal after the World Cup, CBS Sports claims.
Ronaldo is a free agent after terminating his Manchester United contract by mutual consent earlier this week. The Portuguese has long been of interest to Al Nasser, as well as other clubs in the Middle East. Although Cristiano is keen to continue playing at the highest level in Europe, such an offer could change his plans.
In Portugal’s first game against Ghana, Ronaldo set a new record on the international stage by becoming the first player to score in a fifth World Cup.
Al Nasser hopes that after the World Cup, Ronaldo will be keen to try a new challenge and after extensive talks with his representatives, sources close to the club claim their interest is “stronger than ever”. It is assumed that the Portuguese Al Nasr offers 75 million dollars a year or 225 million for the entire period of the contract.
If Ronaldo agrees to the move it will see him play into his 40s.

Due to contact that began in the summer, talks are believed to be at an advanced stage, but Ronaldo’s final decision is still awaited. If he decides to accept the offer, the deal won’t take long to finalize.
Ronaldo asked to leave Manchester United back in the summer, but none of the European giants were ready to sign him. His departure from the Red Devils followed a scandalous interview with journalist Piers Morgan in which he accused United of “betraying” him and claimed he had no respect for manager Erik ten Haag.
Al Nasser is one of the most successful clubs in Saudi Arabia and Asia in general, winning nine domestic league titles and also reaching the final of the Asian Champions League in 1995. Their arch-rivals Al Hilal have also been linked with a move for Ronaldo. However, Al Nasser’s offer is believed to be the only official offer for Ronaldo at the moment.
