Digital is the technical partner of Marmiton.org for its second kitchen appliance award. Based on the recommendations of a committee of experts as well as the technological assessment of our laboratories and our specialists, several products — five per category — have been tested and screened. The Marmiton jury this year was made up of Frédéric Benvenuti, a Marmiton talent who loves cooking, and Claire Debruille, content director at Marmiton.
Five categories of products were selected and evaluated according to specific criteria:
These products have been assessed through a double appraisal. On the one hand, they have undergone various technical tests according to the protocols established within our laboratories. On the other hand, the experts of the Marmiton committee tested the functionalities of the different products selected. They also gave their opinion in a detailed verbatim on the strengths and areas for improvement of each selected product. The marks awarded by the jury were added to the final mark of the Digital to give an overall average. Certain points such as ergonomics or ease of use weighed more heavily in the balance, as they were deemed essential to guarantee simple and quick handling.
Food processor category :
The Magimix Cook Expert Connect tops the category, taking advantage of the late release of this new iteration of its flagship cooker. Magimix retains on its Cook Expert Connect all the advantages that made the success of its robot by adding connectivity via the addition of the Smart Connect kit. It includes a Bluetooth key allowing it to be controlled from a mobile application, but also a scale to slide under the motor unit to weigh the ingredients in the bowl. No false note is to be deplored, and the French manufacturer once again proves all its know-how.
Category ovens :
The De Dietrich DOR7586X and the Electrolux EOC6P50X are tied. The De Dietrich DOR7586X built-in oven is unquestionably one of the best in our comparison of built-in ovens. Particularly pleasant to handle, this quality-built model also provides excellent cooking performance. As for the Electrolux, it presents itself as an excellent price/performance ratio.
Category blenders :
It is the Bosch Vita Vita Serie 4 MMB6382M which is on the first step this year. In our test, we blamed Bosch for a total lack of risk-taking. But it must be recognized that the German offers a very recommendable blender. The most awkward among us will appreciate the many on-board safety devices and experienced users will be won over by the number of mixing speeds offered.
Category induction hobs :
In this category, the Electrolux Series 700 EIS6448 wins the day. It combines excellent cooking performance with intuitive handling thanks to a touch screen that is nothing short of a gadget for technophile cooks.
Category automatic coffee makers :
The Siemens EQ.700 Integral TQ705R03 occupies the first step of the podium. In our test, we rented a very fast machine, very simple to use and which also allows you to discover exotic coffee specialties. Siemens signs a master stroke here and the EQ.700 is a success… Integral.
