Do you dream of an iPhone with HDMI port, six photo modules and a good old antenna like in the 90s? It’s now (virtually) possible thanks to the incredible site Design the Next iPhone.
Help Apple build the iPhone of the future
The principle is extremely simple: a 3D iPhone model stands in the middle of the page, and it is possible to drag all possible and imaginable components. With two clicks of the mouse, you can create an iPhone with four different types of photo modules, two lightning ports, three notches on the screen and an Android logo on the back to complete the whole thing. It is even possible to install the good old “Home” button of the old iPhones, or the click wheel of the old iPods. Ultimate distinction, you can slip a 3.5 mm jack port if you still haven’t digested the fact that Apple removed the connector in 2016.
Once your creation is complete, you can click on the “Present” button. It will make appear in a corner of the window a small Tim Cook who will congratulate you on having invented the telephone of the future. Depending on the number and nature of the components with which you have fitted the poor device, which did not require so much, the imaginary selling price will also vary. So adding an Apple logo will inflate the overall bill by $200, while pasting an Android logo will drop the price of the phone by $100. You can also change the color and wallpaper of your dream iPhone to make it an aesthetic and ergonomic abomination if you so desire.
The site has been launched by Neal Agarwal to whom we owe other pages of the same genre, such as the fascinating (and very serious) Deep Sea, which allows you to observe the animals that live in the depths of the ocean by simply scrolling through an almost infinite page with your mouse. If you wish to support the work of this developer, it is possible to make a Don here.
