Chic in Venice: Julianne Moore covered her thighs with tulle, Ambrosio – hot pink
Traditionally, the chic on the red carpet at major cinema forums is just as important as the quality of the films. All eyes are now on Venice, where the 79th film festival has kicked off.
The former first lady of the United States, Hillary Clinton, walked the red carpet together with the president of the jury Julianne Moore and the star of “Bridgerton” Reggae-Jean Page.
All the beautiful ladies made their way through the flashes of photojournalists to watch the premiere of White Noise, director Noah Baumbach’s adaptation of Don DeLillo’s novel, starring Adam Driver and Greta Gerwig. The tape was met with a tepid 150-second standing ovation. Moore wore an interesting ensemble of a corset covered in tulle and a sequined cape in the shape of a long dress. The actress, known for her elegant and sophisticated sense of style, chose a Valentino outfit.
Jodie Turner-Smith, who stars in White Noise, wore a long, jewel-encrusted super-plunging gown with orange pleats on the skirt. The daring outfit was complemented by bright green gloves.
Greta Gerwig, also a “White Noise” star, went for a classic black maxi dress with a plunging neckline and elegant bat-shaped sleeves, and a huge turquoise pendant necklace completed the look.
Tessa Thompson, 38, looked sensational in a silver strapless bodice with voluminous ruffles and intricate beading. The American actress teamed her chic outfit with a sparkly black pencil skirt and sleek black pointed-toe shoes.
Brazilian model Alessandra Ambrosio was delighted to have all eyes on her after donning a stunning hot pink dress with a sexy slit.
Melanie Laurent looked a bit like a Roman empress in her pleated beige gown that floated down the red carpet.
Raffy Cassidy, 20, was stunning in a jewel-encrusted sleeveless mini dress by Valentino Haute Couture.
Isabeli Fontana, 39, showed off her svelte figure in a body-hugging white mini dress with a long cape adding an extra dose of drama as she walked the red carpet in strappy sandals.
Hillary Clinton, 74, chose a baby blue caftan-type dress and white closed-toe shoes.
