Apple makes Manchester United the richest club in the world – Soccer World – England

Tech giant Apple are interested in buying Manchester United for a whopping £5.8 billion, the Daily Star claims. Red Devils owners the Glazer family announced on Tuesday that they will sell the club after bowing to the demands of those fans who have been calling for them to leave the club.

In recent days, it has been reported that American businessmen want between 6 and 8 billion pounds for the team, and the bosses of “Apple” have expressed interest in concluding a potential deal.

Apple is the world’s biggest technology company with annual revenue of almost £326 billion and an estimated net worth as of this month of £2 trillion. The California-based company has not yet acquired a football club of United’s size.

Apple CEO Tim Cook has personally expressed a desire to explore the benefits of a possible purchase of Man United and will hold talks with the banks tasked with leading the sale process, including The Raine Group ‘, which was also at the heart of Chelsea’s change of ownership earlier in the year.

Part of Cook’s plan could include funding from Apple to build a new state-of-the-art stadium that will be considered the best in the world. If Apple does a deal, it will make United the richest club in the world.

The Glazers bought United in 2005 but have built up a negative reputation among Red Devils supporters over the years, with the turning point coming after the club joined the failed European Super League project last year.

The Glazers will hold talks with interested parties next month before drawing up a shortlist of potential buyers, which is expected to include British billionaire Sir Jim Ratcliffe.
