Alexandra Feigin finished 16th at the European Championships

The best Bulgarian athlete Alexandra Feigin finished in 16th place at the European Figure Skating Championships in Espoo (Finland).

Fagin, 20, was 17th in the short program but played an excellent volley. She was scored 100.92 points (52.94 for technical elements and 47.98 for program components), a personal best for the season, which is the 14th highest strength rating. Thus, the Bulgarian finished 16th with a total of 155.23 points.

Fagin, who is participating in the continental championship for the fourth time in her career. performed ten jumps in his program – six triples and four doubles, of which three in combination – triple toeloop – double axel, triple flip – double toeloop and double axel – triple salchow.

Russian-born Anastasia Gurbanova (Georgia) won a historic first European title for her country and in her career. She presented a very strong voluntary program and triumphed without appeal with 199.91 points.

“I’m very proud to be here, I’m happy and I thank everyone for the support. I was quite nervous, but now I’m going to celebrate,” said the winner.

Second was the world vice-champion and indicated as the favorite in the race, Leona Fendrix from Belgium with 193.48 points. She was second after the short program, falling twice after triple jumps in the vault, but still managed to take the silver.

Debutant Kimi Repond from Switzerland surprisingly ranked third with 192.51 points, who is only 16 years old. She showed an outstanding volley program, receiving a second mark of 128.68 points.

The European Championship ended this evening with the voluntary program for dance couples.
