A website allows you to buy second-hand sex toys
There are objects that you would not imagine buying second-hand, and yet. Even the most intimate products can have a second life when their owner decides to part with them. The website Squeaky Clean Toys specializes in the sale and purchase of second-hand sex toys, from simple sexy outfits to underwear and even sex toys. Whether the latter have “surface” or, on the contrary, “exploratory” missions: everything can be bought, everything can be sold!
To guarantee the site’s reputation and protect consumers, Squeaky Clean Toys does not skimp on hygiene rules. All adult toys must be cleaned or washed, and all penetrable or insertable toys must be high-level disinfected and sterilized, the company explains.
By browsing the site, it is also quite amusing to note that a large number of advertisements highlight the cleaning and sterilization process, with sex toys immersed in large baths of boiling chlorinated water or full soap. The advertisements also include detailed information about the cleaning method used, the materials the toys are made of, whether they come from a smoking household, and the period during which they have been used.
Only high-quality, non-porous materials can be listed for intimate toys, and most items sold on the site are made of glass, steel, or silicone. “The porosity or design of the material determines how well it can be sterilized, so some items will not comply with the policy and cannot be listed. Porous materials like TPE/TPR/Latex cannot be listed even if the item is new and unused”can we read.
Squeaky Clean Toys is also based on a list of validated brands, guaranteeing the quality of the materials used. It reserves the right to refuse the registration on the platform of sex toys from brands with a dubious reputation.
On Facebook, groups specializing in resale
If the Squeaky Clean Toy site brings something new to the sex toy ecosystem, users did not wait for its creation to exchange their used toys. On Facebook, our research led us to a group called “Second-hand sex toys and erotic accessories” with some 3,200 members. Many ads appear there every week, and there too, the administrators insist on cleanliness. Thus, to join the group, you must read some rules of good use, the first of which is: “Toys are clean and disinfected here! Fill the sink with water, put a plug or a bleach tablet and bathe! (or white vinegar, baking soda, etc.)”.
Still, the ads are less “professional” than on Squeaky Clean Toy, with most not including any mention of the cleaning process or pictures of the operation.
